Podcast Adverts Header

Are you looking for a way to make money from your podcast? Sometimes it can seem a bit daunting, trying to create and secure advertisements to put into your podcast. Well, we’ve found a few websites that make it really easy to do just that.

Dynamo (Voxnest)

Dynamo is a really easy to use product that allows you to insert adverts pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll into each episode of your podcast. You decide where your advertisements are going to be played out by selecting where on the waveform of the episode you’d like them to be inserted. You can also choose relevant adverts to suit your podcasts audience and they will refresh every time, so on every play of your podcast, the adverts will be different, but still relevant.

Midroll

Midroll are a company completely focused on podcast advertising. In fact, many big name podcasts use Midroll, like WTF, and My Favorite Murder. They actually have a calculator on their website that gives you an estimate on how much you could be earning a year using their services. For example, if you ran a podcast that got about 20,000 downloads per episode, and released an episode once a week, with 2 pre-roll ads and 2 mid-roll ads, their estimate is anywhere between $35,880 and $67,080 per year from your podcast.

Advertisecast

An easy way to manage multiple advertisement campaigns. They have a team of advertising experts on hand to help you start adding adverts into your podcast right away. You simply submit your podcast along with a brief description. Then advertisers can buy ad slots in your podcast, and the advertisement experts will be including your podcast in ad campaigns where they think it will be an appropriate fit. You can also approve or decline offers as they come in to make sure only the adverts you think will relate to your listeners will play out.

Archer Avenue

Archer Avenue has been in the podcast advertisement game since 2009 so they have plenty of years of experience behind them. You tell them what your show is about and how many advertisements you want per podcast episode, they go out and find relevant companies that want to runs ads on your podcast and you get the final say in whether or not they make the cut. Definitely worth a look, especially as they’re partnered with some well-known companies like Squarespace, MailChimp, Dropbox etc.

PodGrid

PodGrid is relatively new to the scene and they specialise in “giving podcasters of all sizes a way to turn their dedication into revenue”. Basically, no matter what size your audience is at the moment, they’re here to help you out. They want shows on their network that simply have loyal and engaged audiences, regardless of size. Joining is absolutely free and their team will help you to connect with relevant advertisers.

Megaphone

At the moment, Megaphone is only available to podcasts with average downloads of 20,000 or more per episode, but they have decades of experience behind them, recording and distributing podcasts. Like the others, you can pick where in the episodes you want your adverts to appear and you can select from a catalogue of sales partners easily.

So as you can see, there are a few different options around to help you make the most of podcast advertisements. Some let you fully customise where in the episode you want ads to play and how many ads you want per episode, others have a team of experts to help you out. No matter which option you choose, you’re sure to start earning from your podcast very soon.
